About Mrs. SchultzThis year is Mrs. Schultz’s 16th year of teaching, with 11 years at Bracken County High School teaching English 9 and a second year Coordinator for the Gifted and Talented. As the GT Coordinator for the high school, she works with the students on leadership skills, academics, and volunteering in the community. After she graduated high school, Mrs. Schultz continued her education at Shawnee State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree and played collegiate basketball. In 2003, she received her Master’s Degree in teaching from Marygrove College. Mrs. Schultz is a proud alumnus of BCHS and lives in the county with her husband, Dusty and two children, Emma and Charlie.

English 9: The 9th grade level focuses on literature that highlights the theme Coming of Age. Building on their knowledge of literary elements in traditional literary genres, students study the relationship between narrative voice and style, while also analyzing literary and stylistic elements in literature. Student will also learn strategies to survive the transition from Middle School to High School.
